Checks we carry out with every boiler service

    • Check for leaks, corrosion, and damage. Confirm the functionality of fascia controls and the condition/suitability of the electrical supply.

    • Inspects the flue, ventilation, and condensate pipe. Check pipework and connections are secure and leak free.

    • Verify the boiler's location, stability, and accessibility and clean outer casing.

    • Clean internal components and check for correct leak-free operation.

    • Examine seals, test and repressurise the expansion vessel and clean the condensate trap.

    • Check for gas leaks and ensures the gas pressure and flow rates are correct.

    • Inspect the fuel system to confirm there are no blockages, damage, or leaks.

    • Carry out a flue gas analysis and adjust where necessary

    • Checking the correct operation of the heating, and if applicable, the hot water operation and performance by analysing various data.

    • On-site Water quality check, testing inhibitor levels and overall system water cleanliness.

    • Check and clean the external system filter and make recommendations as required.

 FAQs

  • It is recommended to allow 45 minutes to an hour, depending on the type, make and model of the boiler.

    *Boilers in the loft or other restricted spaces may take longer.

  • Your boiler should be serviced annually.

    If the boiler has an active manufacturer warranty, the warranty is service-dependent and therefore more important.

  • Depending on the fault, action will be taken to either make the appliance safe or notify you of the parts required, along with associated costs, so you can make an informed decision on how best to proceed.

  • Bleeding radiators is not part of a regular boiler service, and generally, additional charges may be applied.

    This is normally at the engineer’s discretion, depending on the number of radiators, the access and the condition of each radiator.

  • This depends on the reason why the service is being aborted, generally if work was carried out to establish that your boiler can not or should not be serviced then yes you will be charged our minimum fee plus any additional charges such as out of area or parking fees.

    If the service is aborted during the initial visual check and your boiler is deemed unserviceable then you will not be charged, and advised on the action required.
